Music Editing Software: get it free

Posted by my music guide in - 0 comments

I hope you would know about the free music editing software such as Audacity. It is one of the easiest software to execute and can be easily installed on windows, Mac’s and Linux. When I was first come to know about Audacity, I didn’t try to know much about the programs. I thought it is a normal program and it has normal multi tracks similar to most multi editing software program. But I didn’t observe just how many features it contains until I really started to play around with the package.

Editing: If you know Microsoft word and Microsoft Excel then using Audacity doesn't get much easier to use in compare to them. If you familiar with the details such as how to drag and drop the files and edit via copy, cut, paste then you will have the basic knowledge. It translates these features in a simple way that means a novice would be able to produce sound right away.

Importing and Exporting: Once you finish your music master piece you will desire to export your composition to a CD or MP3 player so that you can take it to a producer or family member and friends can listen to it. Audacity has included features to import and export mp3's, aiff and au, wav which indicates that your music can be played on just about any digital audio tools.

Effects: If you have some old audio that has a lots of background sounds or may be hissing, vibrating and stiff sound then Audacity can minimize their annoying sounds. Other effect includes a built in echo, phaser and wah wah. You can also change the tune of a song without changing the tempo. Try once on you grandfather’s old turn tables.
Recording: most computers come with microphone jacks and Audacity allows you to record from the jack point that indicates you can record any audio after plugging into the jack point, weather it can be keyboard, piano, a drum machine or a microphone. Sound levels can be minimize or maximize before, during or later as well.

Multi-Tracks: Just go some years back we had a four channel tape mixer that cost 800 dollar. As it had the capability of recording four tracks and needless to say it was a little difficult and time-waster. Audacity gives the facility to record up to 16 channels for free.

One of the biggest positive advantages about this product is that it is free of cost. However, if you want to compose a full song or difficult beats then you will get it somewhat limiting as you layer each track. In this case you should go for a paid solution. In 50 dollar you will get a software program that will permit you to spread your music editing power. Just go for a search online and you will get them.
